60th Anniversary 2018 National Championship

The special 60th Anniversary National Championship will take place from 1st to the 3rd June 2018 and will be hosted by Castle Cove SC

Castle Cove is a thriving, family club which sails in Portland Harbour and Weymouth Bay. Established in 1923 in a cliff-top chalet overlooking Castle Cove it has grown steadily and in 2002 the club moved to the present clubhouse location at the end of Castle road. The club has a wide range of excellent facilities: including a large dinghy park and a well-appointed clubhouse and bar.

Holding the event here offers us the opportunity to enjoy the great sailing venue of the 2012 Olympics whilst also enjoying the hospitality and conviviality of a local sailing club.

As it is a special Anniversary year we are hoping to have a big turnout and a lot of fun both on and off the water with Gold, Silver and Bronze fleets to cater for all abilities and all are most welcome.

News from Hartley Boats

Small but Mighty!

Congratulations to Poppy Loosley age 9 who completed her RYA junior stage 4 at Polkerris Beach in extreme sailing conditions last November. Poppy is the smallest person to have completed stage 4 at Polkerris Beach and not only that; she crowned her wonderful achievement by also becoming the smallest person ever to right a Wayfarer MKIV without assistance - well done Poppy! way to go girl!
